About the work
PANCAKES is a 2026 short work presented in the official WAIFF Kyoto winners archive. Creator credit: AiVE. A man and a woman talk in a café. It is not a story about forgiving a crime; instead, a small possibility of rescue remains inside trauma, while the boundary between good and evil stays ambiguous.
Artistic focus
The film builds a distinctive image-world around a clear dramatic idea. Its strength lies in the contrast between the everyday and the fantastic, the intimate and the larger inner conflict. No details beyond the official description have been added.
